Jason Becker

Jason Becker é um guitarrista neo-clássico que ganhou fama aos 16 anos como virtuoso. Ele nasceu em Richmond (Califórnia, Estados Unidos) em julho de 1969.

Seu pai, Gary Becker, que tinha estudado violão erudito, lhe deu uma guitarra quando ele tinha apenas 3 anos de idade, e começou a lhe dar aulas. Jason passou a praticar músicas de Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck e Eddie Van Halen, entre outros. Jason praticava durante horas a fio, e estudou a obra de Niccolò Paganini.
